Trinity Veteran Center Programs:

Trinity Veteran Centers offer multiple rehabilitative programs in conjunction with community and The Patriot Club support.

Social Program: Sometimes the Veterans sit inside their homes for a month straight. We know this does not sound real, but its true. The Veterans are taken off the streets and put into complexes but that is just 1 step in the rehabilitation. Many of the Veterans have mental and physical disabilities that a roof over their head cannot solve.

Its no secret humans are naturally social beings, and that social aspect is apart of human life. But for the Veterans we serve being social is generally not a part of their life, and that is where our programs come in.

Fellowship program: Ever have a long conversation about life with a co-worker, friend, or even stranger? We bet that conversation made you feel a bond, and that is what our fellowship program does. We do our best to give the Veteran 1-on-1 time, inspiring value and positivity.

As stated above, a roof over the Veterans head is the first step but not the last. We started our charity by taking Veterans for 3-hour hikes and having deep meaningful conversations that led to major attitude improvements. It seems so simple, but these Veterans need positive support and love!

Food Pantry: A roof over their head but no food, hygiene products, or water, what good is that? We leverage our network of community partners to pick up, organize, and distribute these essential items. Currently we feed 150 Veterans all day every day.

Health Program: Our health programs are designed based on health issues our Veterans face. Some examples are:

A large group of the Veterans at our Trinity Veteran Centers are diabetic but do not know how to live with diabetes, so we are creating a diabetic friendly portion of our food pantry.

Many Veterans go weeks or months without sleeping properly, so we partnered with community organizations to offer classes that enable better sleeping.

The Veterans with physical disabilities do not know how to become physically active, so we partnered with a local yoga instructor to offer yoga classes.

Kids Program: There are around 20 children that live at the housing we serve, and these children have been through a lot. We try to inspire a sense of community and belonging for these children through dedicated events like Truck or Treat, Slip n Slide, Nerf War, Pumpkin Carving, and much more. These events also have effects like family bonding, parent attitude improvement, and social skill development.

All in all, our programs all derive from problems we see, feel, and hear. Its not about what we think helps rehabilitate the Veterans, it’s about what they need to get back on their feet.
